Resources

This is a collection of resources I recommend because of the impact they have had on me.

They are not books, songs, etc that I have produced, I claim no copyright and thoroughly support the creators!

Biblical Femininity

by Chrystie Cole

"God created every woman with a specific purpose – to be an ezer kenegdo, an essential counterpart. An ezeris one who comes alongside another and brings strength in the context of relationship. All women share this core calling, but how we live out our calling looks different for each woman based on her personality, gifts, strengths, perspectives, and season of life. Through the Biblical Femininity study, we learn to embrace our uniqueness and live out our calling right where God has us today."

Every Bitter Thing
Is Sweet

by Sara Hagerty

"Whatever lost expectations readers are facing—in family, career, singleness, or marriage—Every Bitter Thing Is Sweet will bring them closer to a God who longs for them to know him more. What does it look like to know God’s nearness when life breaks? What does it mean to receive his life when earthly life remains barren? How can God turn the bitterness of unmet desire into new flavors of joy?"

Walking With God

by John Eldredge

"In Walking with God, Eldredge teaches us that creating a dialogue with God is the single most life-changing habit we can adopt because it brings us back to our source of life. But why is it that most of us have never been taught how to have a conversation with our Creator?

Walking with God reminds us that it is our deepest need, as human beings, to learn to live intimately with God. If you're ready to recover this part of your life, let Walking with God be your guide along the way."

All of My Days

by Ellie Holcomb

This album features, "seven songs that include the standout track "Where Can I Go" and a fresh take on the classic hymn "Thy Word". The album creates space for listeners to reflect and pray alongside lyrics pulled straight from the Psalms in Scripture."
Bonus Recommendation: There is a devotional called 'Fighting Words' that goes along with this album!

Faithful

"Faithful guides readers through the pages of Scripture to increase understanding of how God has always valued the integral role of females and how that shapes the lives of women today. You will find hope, encouragement, and a strong sense of community in this beautiful, eclectic collection of writing, photos, and lyrics that reflect God’s faithfulness."

Bonus recommendation: check out the beautiful albums these women have produced as well!

Emmanuel

by Ruth Chou Simons

This is a gorgeously illustrated Advent exploration of what it means to intimately experience God’s presence in our daily lives. Ruth Chou Simons welcomes you and your family to partake in a season of surrender as you discover the true miracle behind Christmas: that while we journey to grow in our relationships with Jesus, He has already come so He can be with us forever. Christmas Day is not the end of our celebrations, but the beginning! Emmanuel is an invitation to rejoice in the everlasting fellowship and hope God extended to us on the day of His Son’s birth, guiding us to realize that having God with us all year long is Christmas’s most incredible gift."

A Prayer Journal

A prayer journal is a powerful tool as you walk this journey of faith.  This particular one is clean and simple, with a pocket for special received notes you may want to keep.  Use it along with your favorite Bible to keep notes or to dialogue with God.

Feelings

by Chandler Moore

This album is a stunning, heartfelt outcry to Father God by a gifted artist who grew up in Charleston, SC.  It is not a corporate style of worship, but the music & words here open space for us to be raw, vulnerable and present before God

with who we are - and who we aren't.
